08 — Frequently asked questions

Everything customers ask before buying.

Answers to the most common technical and commercial questions on press brakes, configurations, timing and support. For specific requests email us at info@pgsrl.eu.

What's the difference between hydraulic, hybrid and electric press brakes?

The DCA hydraulic press brake is the traditional solution: maximum power (up to 3,000 t), reliability and contained operating costs. Ideal for heavy fabrication and thick sheets.

The H.DCA hybrid press brake integrates electric servomotors with the hydraulic unit: faster dynamics, up to 80% energy saving, superior repeatability. Designed for series production with fast cycles.

The E.DCA electric press brake is fully electromechanical: silent, oil-free, with the lowest electricity consumption in the range. Ideal for workshops focused on consumption and sustainability.

Are PG SRL press brakes Made in Italy?

Yes. All PG press brakes are engineered, built, assembled and tested at our facility in Mariano Comense (CO), Italy. Strategic components (CNC ESA/Cybelec/Delem, brushless servomotors, Bosch Rexroth hydraulic units, Lazer Safe/MCS safety systems) are sourced from certified European supply chains; welding, machining, assembly and acceptance testing all remain in-house.

Do you build press brakes to order?

All our presses are built to order: force, useful length, stroke, daylight opening, throat depth, number of controlled axes and automation level are sized to the customer’s production cycle. There are no “catalogue” machines: every press is designed on the customer’s specs.

Typical delivery times: 3-6 months from contract signing, depending on the configuration.

What tonnages and lengths do you cover?

The range covers from 40 to 3,000 tonnes of force, useful lengths from 1.25 to 16.2 m on a single monoblock. Beyond 16.2 m with tandem configuration (up to 24 m).

Are PG SRL presses compliant with the Machinery Directive?

Yes. All presses comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and are equipped with CE marking, safety devices according to standard (laser barriers, two-hand controls, emergency stop) and complete technical file. We provide declaration of conformity, manual in language and electrical/hydraulic diagrams.

What CNC do they come with?

The standard is the CNC ESA S875W, latest-generation touchscreen numerical control with 2D/3D graphics, bend simulation, variable angle management, active crowning and CNC back gauges. On request Delem and Cybelec CNCs are also available.

Do you provide after-sales support and spare parts?

Technical support is handled directly by PG SRL, without intermediaries. We have a spare parts warehouse, in-house technicians for on-site interventions throughout Italy and Europe, CNC remote assistance and retrofit services for machines of other brands too.

Do you sell used press brakes?

Yes. We buy, recondition and resell used press brakes and shears, including those of other manufacturers. All reconditioned machines are tested and covered by warranty. Current availability is in the Used section.

Where is PG SRL based?

Our operational and production headquarters is in Mariano Comense (CO), in Lombardy, halfway between Milan and Como. The facility hosts engineering, mechanical workshop, assembly and testing room. We welcome visitors by appointment: email info@pgsrl.eu to visit us.
